Lease Renewal: You will receive a Lease Renewal Form approximately 90 days prior to the expiration date of your current lease. To request a renewal of your lease, please return this form 60 days before your lease expiration date.
Lease Termination: If you plan to move out of your apartment at the end of your lease period, please return the Lease Renewal Form 60 days prior to the lease expiration date and indicate you intend to vacate your apartment. We ask you to provide us with a forwarding address on that same form. Failure to give at least a 30-day written notice and a forwarding address may result in the forfeiture of your Security Deposit.
Early Lease Termination: Your lease is a binding contract that holds you responsible for rental payments through the full term of the lease. If you want to move out of your apartment before the end of your lease period please contact your property manager to understand what options may be available to you.
Apartment Sub-lets: The Mount Vernon Company does not allow subletting of apartments without written permission. Please contact your property manager for more information.
Apartment Transfers: If you are interested in moving to a different MVC apartment before the end of your current lease period, please contact your property manager to understand what options may be available to you.
